Recipe: Mix 1-2 glasses water, Shan Pilau Biryani Mix, meat, garlic and ginger. Cover and cook on a low heat until the meat is tender (ensure about 1 cup of stock remains in the pot). Pour the yogurt over the cooked meat. and set aside. Separately, add the soaked rice and salt to taste to 3 litres of boiling water. Boil the rice until more than half cooked. Remove from the heat and drain thoroughly. Heat the oil and fry the onion until golden. Spread half the rice in a pot, add the meat, cover with the remaining rice. Then sprinkle the yellow food colour (optional) and fried onion over it. Cover and cook on a low heat until the rice is tender. Mix the meat and rice before serving. Serve with fresh salad and raita.
